Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the editorial team at bang-bet.ng collects, processes and protects the personal data of visitors from Nigeria and beyond. It complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and is overseen by our Data Protection Officer in Lagos. The policy was last updated in June 2026.

1. Introduction

bang-bet.ng is an independent review portal that publishes guides about the Bang-Bet sportsbook and casino. We are not the operator, we do not hold deposits, and we do not run gambling games. However, when you visit the site we still process limited personal data to deliver pages, measure traffic and prevent abuse. This document tells you exactly what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and which rights you can exercise under Nigerian law.

If you only read one paragraph, read this one: we never sell your data, we do not collect your banking details on this domain (payments happen at the operator), and you can email our DPO at [email protected] at any time to access, correct or delete your information.

2. Data we collect

The table below lists every category of personal data that touches our servers or analytics. We deliberately keep the list short โ€” a review site does not need much.

We never collect government IDs, BVN, NIN, bank statements, debit-card numbers or biometric data on this site. Those belong at the licensed operator and only when KYC is required.

3. Lawful basis under the NDPA

Section 25 of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 requires every controller to identify a lawful basis before processing personal data. The table maps each activity above to its NDPA basis.

4. How long we keep your data

Data minimisation is a core NDPA principle. We delete what we do not need.

Contact-form messages24 monthsFollow-up support

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a thin cookie stack โ€” far thinner than a typical sportsbook. The first time you visit you see a banner asking you to accept analytics. You can refuse and the site still works.

  • Strictly necessary โ€” session token, consent state, security cookies. Cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics โ€” Plausible-style pageview counter, no cross-site tracking. Off by default.
  • Affiliate โ€” a single click ID dropped when you press a "Bet now" button to give credit for the referral.
  • Preference โ€” remembers light/dark choice and accepted language.

We do not run third-party advertising cookies, pixel trackers from social networks, or fingerprinting scripts. Your ad-blocker should report a clean site.

6. Your rights

The NDPA grants every data subject the following rights, which you can exercise free of charge by emailing the DPO. We respond within 30 days, in line with the Act.

  • Right of access โ€” get a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right of rectification โ€” fix anything inaccurate.
  • Right of erasure โ€” ask us to delete data we no longer need.
  • Right to restrict processing โ€” pause use while a dispute is resolved.
  • Right to object โ€” opt out of analytics or affiliate attribution.
  • Right to portability โ€” receive your data in a machine-readable file.
  • Right to withdraw consent โ€” at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
  • Right to complain โ€” escalate to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

7. Security measures and where your data is processed

Our hosting sits in Tier-3 data centres with ISO 27001 certification. All traffic uses TLS 1.3, application secrets are stored in a hardware security module, and we run quarterly penetration tests. The donut below shows the rough geographic split of where your data physically rests.

Where your data is processed (%)

Bang-Bet Nigeria data processing locations donut chart 100% Nigeria (Lagos) 50% Ireland (EU) 30% South Africa 15% Backups (global) 5%

8. International transfers

Where data leaves Nigeria we rely on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission and we only transfer to jurisdictions with adequate protection โ€” primarily the EU and South Africa. No data is processed in countries that lack a recognised regime.

9. Contact our Data Protection Officer

Our DPO is based in Lagos and replies within two working days. Write to [email protected] or post a letter to: DPO, Bang-Bet Editorial, 14 Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. For wider operator support and live chat queries see our contact page. New readers can start with the Bang-Bet welcome offer guide or jump to the Bang-Bet site home for an overview of every section.
